Architect [ Information & Small Recruiting ]

Greetings and Salutations fellow Adamantoisers... -toisees?... -toissants?

People!

Free Company 'Architect' is looking for a small influx of people to inhabit our small diorama for end-game, mid-game, all-game, all-caps, and other content. To help understand our mission statement (corporate wording still works, right?) I will provide a table of contents so you can better understand our vision.

I. [ History ]
As of right now, our family, much like - as it seems anyway - everyone else, has had a long tenure wearing different hats of the MMORPG community. This includes a decade of experience playing in (un)popular games like World of Warcraft, Warhammer, Aion, Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings, and of course: Final Fantasy XI.

Admittedly, unlike some companies, we have not carried over our entire group from one game collectively. And we don't spam across different games. There are a group of us who have turned our attention to focus on one game and one game only: Candy Crush Final Fantasy XIV:ARR.

This core was a staple linkshell in Final Fantasy XI on the Ramuh server and competed in several end-game activities, HNM, sky/sea, LS-run Dynamis, and even a monthly LS Ballista battle. It was like having a gym day once a month to detox from all the grinding.

We also took part in other FFXI favorites such as: spinning our camera clockwise-to-counter-clockwise saying, "When does our event starrrrrtttttt", Visiting Arch Coarse to see who get charmed the quickest and then trying to kill that person in question, and races in high-aggro areas to a designated finish line with the winner receiving a prize.

We hope to carry over this same fun, excitement, and accomplishment to FFXIV:ARR on Adamantoise under a new banner.

II. [ Koalafications ]
Note: I seriously still think that image, to this day, is still funny.

Age: 18+

Experience: Flexible - a person welcome to learning and providing what they've learned can be more valuable than faux-experience or tenure.

Grammar Skills: There is no "ur", "u", or otherwise allowed - and it has always been that way with our groups. Also, must be able to use the correct form of your/you're and they're/there/their. Nitpicking? Maybe. It has always been a good barometer for us with guildmates, though.

Hours Available: It's not a [expletive deleted] job - it's a game. We'll have set hours for events, but it will be rotating for everyone to participate.

Chat Content: I'll be transparent - we can say some really... really... uninspiring things. The kind of things you won't find someone reading at a Barnes & Noble during their weekend book club hours. If you aren't a fan of somewhat adult content, passive-aggressive friends, dry humor, and the like - I can't recommend.

Trial and Friends: Everyone is subject to a dungeon run to evaluate performance. If you have a friend who you can't bear playing without, they are subject to the same trial and the same rules mentioned above - no exceptions.

Books Read: Must have read at least one book the past year. Knowledge is power. Right? No? Fine - lie then at least.

BONUS POINTS: If you can sing Circle of Life from start-to-finish, quote episodes of Archer, have seen Matthew Broderick on Broadway, know who the "[...] gonna give that meteor my ULTRA kick[...]" guy is from FF7, or have a great recipe for custom-made Vinaigrette dressing.

III. [ Our Journey ]
Maybe with all of the aforementioned joking, you may find it difficult to take us seriously - and I completely resonate with that; I don't blame you. However, that's simply the kind of people we are. We are able to flip a switch that takes us from funny time to serious time; scholars to idiots; homegrown to manifest destiny - that's the duality and beauty of what we represent.

We love end-game content. We're good at end-game content. But, our goal isn't to have the most members on the server. We feel we can do more with a solid foundation of people who can appreciate each other. That's our mission and that's our fun. This includes not only end-game content, but PVP content, holiday events, and even the smallest quest. There has to be a balance of fun and butt-to-chair grind sessions. If you like the idea of that, great. If not, that's great too. Be where you want to be. I'd just like it to be with us.

We currently have a Ventrilo server we use for all contact with different rooms structured according to activities and are working on finishing a website with forums for better communication!

IV. [ tl;dr ]
We're a fun-time-having, serious-switch-having, Bonesaw-is-ready-quoting, conquering end-game Free Company looking for members. Contact information is listed below after this. We look forward to playing with you pending your ability to log in.
