I would rather have a free in game item than to get 7 days free. Say like a ticket that gives you 500-1000 Tomestones of mythology or Philosophy, Or a ticket for 1 piece of darklight gear.
Yeah your right too there are people who haven't got to play that much but for some of us we have been able to play with very few issues at the very least SE could add the option so we could pick if we wanted 7 days free or an in-game item on the moogle site. To me I could see them doing this cause they are going to lose money but if they add an item they wont lose so much, Yes 7 days isn't a lot but when you figure its $15 a month that's about $3.75 for a free week per person and you X's that by what 200k+ people lets just say 200k that's $750,000 dollars they are losing. I would also like to have a Free In-Game item. I make enough money that I can afford to pay my monthly sub, Keep in mind that I've played maybe 3 days since EA.

As for your math, more people will waste the time than actually use it productively. The amount of time saved from gettin gear far outways 7 free days. -

While I can understand the desire for a material item in exchange for lost playtime, the lost playtime is primarily only on the EU/NA Database, where as the JP Datacenter is pretty much calm. Whenever I get too frustrated of trying to log in with my main (C'mohn Nunh of Coeurl World), I can play on my secondary (Kahlan Amnel of Aegis World, a revamped 1.0 character who only spent like 5 days in 1.0 before my Computer was having issues playing it smoothly). I primarily play Kahlan on the PS3 and have C'mohn for the PC.
