Signing on to a game where your spot of only 5000 (which shouldn't even exist in the first place) is already bad enough. Tack on to that a good majority of these spots are perma-filled by people who would rather AFK all day/night, than give up their sweet spot on the server. Don't add even more onto that by making people wait in queues to enter the server, only to be thrown a "World is full" message as you get to the 1st or 2nd position. It's a bit of a slap to the face.

just a properly working Queue system would be nice. Some other issues aside that need to get fixed, but just the constant "world is full, try again" is insanely annoying. Then i can just log on, wait for my turn, and play...

All of this should be fixed by Wednesday according to Square Enix, right? I've been able to log in/out several times throughout the past couple days with no errors (probably just lucky).

Excalibur sees 1017s even at 9-10am on weekdays. This crap is ridiculous. The only way that I can guarantee that I can play when I want to play is by logging in as early as possible and then afk'ing all day until I am home and able to play.

The easiest fix is to kick afk players. Those increase not only the serverload by a huge amount for doing nothing at all, but also by increasing the number of login attempts per minute by a factor of 1.5-1.8 estimated, i.e. leading to the overload of the entire system.
Kick afk players, and the attempts per person should reduce by 50-80%, looking how 50-80% of the players in major cities are afk [not counting other resting areas] -
