New Surplus SP Message
I'd like to thank SE for finally changing the surplus SP notification message. The original message, "Your <skill> skill bonus increases," was inaccurate and implied we were getting some sort of reward, which was false. However, in case a thread hasn't been made about this already, I wanted to call attention to the error found in this new message. With the new message, the following is displayed on screen: "You earn reduced surplus archery skill skill points due to fatigue." The obvious mistake here is that the word "skill" appears twice, and that obviously needs to be fixed. However, there is also a small redundancy problem aside from what was mention above: saying "You earn reduced surplus skill points" is grammatically unnecessary. In this situation, saying either "You earn reduced skill points" or "You earn surplus skill points" would suffice. Although using both is not necessarily incorrect, it would not be common to do so in the English language.

they forgot grammar
archary skill, skill points
is how it look like it should read.
But over all it looks silly. I'll say this, it wasn't me XD (joke at my bad typing)

Actually on one of the dev posts they said that Surplus is going to get removed sometime in the future.

ya when all the fixes are done. Yoshi feels that it is up to the players to decide how much they put in their classes everyday.

"archery skill skill points" isn't incorrect since you're gaining 'skill points' for your 'archery skill', so it could be written as 'archery skill skill points' and make perfect sense. However, we tend not to refer to it as 'archery skill' but more frequenty as just 'archery'.
The word 'surplus' in the sentence doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
At least they're addressing the issue with the poorly communicated message we were receiving before, so thumbs up for changing it.
I would much prefer it if they just showed the message when the fatigue rank changes instead of upon every kill. When you have both class surplus and physical surplus it can spam up the chat fairly quickly.

Most if not all of the messages in XIV are chunks of <eng###> in the script code. It looks at the english list of constantly used words and pulls the word.
So the sentence in the script says something along the lines of "Oh, You are a <player race eng332> how was your trip from <player start town eng118>." which would show up as "Oh, you are a Roegadyn, how was your trip from Limsa Lominsa?"
These types of scripting can cause a issue with grammar sometimes and all we can do is report them.

Also while English isn't my native language, I think for example if a sentence is like:
"I'm probably going to log in in a few minutes..."
Double words tend to happen depending on how you use "log in", since login could refer to your user name rather than the action of doing as such.
