Yet Another Complaint - 2002, 5006, 1017, 10102

Error 2002 crashes my game client. And the forum sticky is just a long list of steps to blame my router/connection. Because even though I can access websites and messaging systems to try and solve the problem, it's clearly my Internet's fault.

I also got Error 5006. Most of the time I get stuck on the main menu because "Start" isn't selectable anymore.

I've looked into solutions and turned up nothing. I'm at the point where I know a post isn't going to fix the situation but at least it makes me feel better in the moment adding to the volume of notices about customers having problems with this game.

That is, when the forums aren't running at the rate of frozen molasses.

I was so stoked about playing today, too! I got so much motivation! And it all just died because of 1017/10102 repeats and now this.

Error 2002 is entirely on Square-enix's end in most cases. Don't worry they will get it sorted out or suffer financial loss. I play almost every mainstream MMO out there: WoW, GW2 etc. No issues whatsoever and I run a pretty decent gaming rig, but error 2002 absolutely prevents me from playing. I was lucky though and got to play for a few hours today but when I logged out and tried to log in later, it just shows error after error.
