Some stuff that is past due implementation...

1) AFK automatic logout. 30 min afk, then buh-bye.

2)A fully functional login/server join queue. We don't care if the world is full. We just don't want to have to spam the start button and character select. Give us a queue no matter how packed the world is and we will wait.

3)Do not tell us something is resolved when it is not. The news on the launcher could not be more inaccurate.

4)Get your hardware together already. Why is it that a giant company cannot get their heads far enough out of their anuses to see that they should have had the proper amount of servers available and FULLY FUNCTIONAL weeks before launch...

I refuse to join the ranks of lazy apathetic gamers who just accept that companies release half finished games as business as usual. It is, in fact, business as usual, but we should not be just allowing this to happen. This game has so much potential, but it has been raped repeatedly by dumb crap that should never have been a problem in the first place.

I love the game, and I think it has a LOT of potential. It saddens me to see all those issues that will surely end up harming FFXIV reputation.

Those issues aren't harming only players, but SE as well, and it'd be great if they'd realize that.

One week to fix all those errors, which were there before launch is unnacceptable. I can understand not being able to get servers running overnight, but they should still be able to implement a working queue and a way to kick out afk'ers to free up space.

Exactly, the servers should have been stable to handle the load of players months in advance, the statement of "we're overwhelmed and wasn't expecting this many customers" is a cop out and a flat out lie.

I already see people coming in this thread and saying "every MMO has big problems launch week" when that is completely not true.

Rift, Star Wars TOR, and Guild Wars 2 are very recent examples of a MMO launching with little issue. Of course these games did have some very minimal log in issues for -a few hours-, but with all of them the issues were hashed out quickly and a lot more people actually got to play on launch day.

We're 5 days after launch and 9 days after early access. This is easily the worst launch in years, it definitely took the title away from the previous holder Diablo 3.
