When can I actually start playing with my friends. He choose gladiator and I picked arcanist. So we had different starting towns, but now I am level 11 and we have partied up but we are still in different locations.
At what point do we get to start doing content together?
At roughly 15, you receive a quest to visit all of the cities with a letter. Then, you will be sent to Gridonia (or what ever its called). At this point, the storyline quests should be the same.
Yeah, what Aeika said. I think the first quest you can go together on is when you're set to Limsa Lominsa and asked to do a dungeon in that area.
