Character is Completely Stuck After Attempting to Start Quest

I interacted with the destination point for "A Dangerous Proposition". After a few seconds I got the following errors...
"A system error has occurred during event movement"
"Unable to connect to duty finder server"

I got control of my character back, so I tried the interaction again and this time I get no error messages and my character is frozen. I can still pan the camera, interact with all menus, but it won't let me do anything

Abandon quest ==> "You were unable to abandon the quest"
Return/Teleport ==> "Unable to teleport at this time"
Log Out ==> "Unable to execute command while occupied"
Exit Game ==> "Unable to execute command while occupied"

I'm completely stuck and can't get out of whatever state I'm in. I had no choice but to force close the game, but there should be a way to get out of something like this with a timeout or a force abandon option?
