Steps:
1. Reduce Toad's HP
2. Wait for Toad to use Gut Press, possibly feed it some TP to help with the process
3. Wait about 5 seconds after Gut Press is used for Toad to return to a killable state.

I understand you don't want them killable while they're using the TP move, but the cool-off is a bit excessive.
