Seriously, you want to shorten the better part of the game? You have no clue, I used to spend 3 hrs just to do one dungeon, and it was very rewarding once finished.
Lovely way to discuss a topic there. Both sides have a point though. If 3 dps were manageable it should be done to lessen queue times for dps, as they are horrid right now. In the same hand, this game is very easily completed, with a ton of people already 50 and completed story, so maybe match the damage increase from the 3rd dps? Not sure.
I just wiped 7 or 8 times in Longstep (As whm I take full responsibility for the wipes seeing as it was tank deaths in each) but still managed to win the raid (about 2mins left I think) though I do agree that we need more big party dungeon contents :3
I don't see why having 5 people instead of 4 would make things easier, less frustrating, or anything else. The ONLY thing it would change would minimally reduce the wait time for DD's in duty finder. Everything would have to be rebalanced completely, from the amount of adds popping, to their amount of health. They would need to rebalance considering that the party has the same amount of tanking capabilities and healing capabilities while they now have 40% more damage output. (not saying 50% cause the non-DPS are also dealing some damage).
Once you get to 50 you get to do some 8-man stuff. Duty Finder builds 8-man parties exactly as if it was 2 4-man parties, so 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 4 DD's. Everything is doubled, and so can the amount of adds and stuff like that.
Just explain why having 5-man content would make any difference in how you wipe twice per instance? Maybe it has nothing to do with the balance or the amount of players in your party, and everything to do with how you (not yourself, but the party) are approaching the dungeon. Practice, learn how to not wipe, and you will always have time to complete your instances.
I would find it more frustrating since most of the DPS I get stuck with don't understand the concept of hitting the same target..
ok I got your guys's point. I just thought more people would think the same. As this is not the case forget this post or some dev delete it..
Dungeons designed for 5-people would be cool. Would be very FF4 ish.
