Crashing on startup

Game has worked fine on max settings except for the 1017 error over the last few days. All the sudden today, my game won't even launch from hitting the "play" button anymore. Didn't change anything, game didn't patch, didn't change any settings, nothing like that. It now gets the "XIV has stopped working" windows crash error every single time. I've even reinstalled the game which did not fix the problem. Drivers and everything are all up to date.

Shameless bump, anyone else having this problem?

(not so) humbly trying to keep this from getting buried.... can't seem to find any solutions anywhere as of yet...

Reinstalled yet again to no avail... how is noone else having this issue?
