Looking for a guide about attribute points.

Hi I am looking for a guide that can tell me what stats I should put points into for each class and job.

For example I know DEX is a good thing for my archer as well as VIT (more HP is good for all classes) but is there another stat that I should raise as well.:confused:

If you mouse over a stat or select it with the D-pad on your character status it will tell you everything the stat does. After that it's up to you to figure out how you want to play your character. Find yourself dieing too much? Add some VIT for HP. Want more cure potency on your White Mage? Add some MND. You can buy items from the Grand Companies that will let you reset your points, so don't fret too much.

pure stats imo. ezpz..archer = dex, monk/lancer = str, glad/mara = vit (maybe some str on mara, tbh), cnj = mnd, thaum/arcanist = int (or mnd if going scholar on acn).

For Tanks (gladiator/marauder) might want to do 50/50 str/vit to get through the single story parts easier then just respec it once you hit level 50 to vit.
Read a post from someone who play as a scholar and they said your Arcanist Int and Mnd stats switch when you equip the Scholar stone. So Int all the way for arcanist(might want to de-equip scholar stone when you apply new points to verify they are going to the right place).

Doesn't Dexterity affect damage mitigation though? Wouldn't it be better to split it between the 3 or is damage mitigation not important in this game and just passed along to the healer? I sure hope not.

yeah you want dex you want Vit over str and dex and then those two evenly as dex is how offten you dodge parry block and str is how much damage it blocks or parrys

I kept it simple and chose mostly strength and have been glad of it. I will add vitality and dexterity soon. thanks for the good help in this thread much appreciated. :)
