We still having 1017 today?

I just formatted my computer and I'm wondering if I should make installing FF XIV a priority or not.

No, it's still happening. I had to take a trip up north for this long weekend, I haven't been able to get back in the game at all. Just 1017 all day long.

Absolutely not, the service issues are so frustrating, you're probably better holding off for a month or two. Terrible RE-launch.

Don't bother

Don't bother making it a must, it wont be till next week or possibly next weekend when they expand their data centers for more people. How SE didn't know they were going to have this big of a launch after all their beta's is anyone's guess and why they limited their servers and didn't release that many is beyond me as well.

I don't think they took into account how many actually play online games. If they did they would understand that they need a lot more servers and a lot of space on them for it to function properly.

I think they rushed into it to much and they are going to lose anyone that bought the game and tried to play it.

WoW if "failing" at over 7million subs. At its peak was more than 13 million. Rift, SWToR, Dust, Eve, LoTRO, Guildwars, Everquest are all still running............ how can they NOT know? How could they have thought 230,000 concurrent connections would be enough?
