My ISP is giving me sporadic 5-10 second "Time outs" where my connection drops off. In FFXI, this was not such a big deal. You'd "red ball" - your send/receive would drop to 0, but it would pick back up in a few seconds.
In FFXIV, it seems like any timeout results in being disconnected from the game server. And we all know how hard it is to log in.
Is the disconnect time in FFXIV simply that short?
