I have seen people on the flying eye mount, or some with the black chocobo hatchling...I went and signed up for the 180 days..but Mogstation says no vet rewards? how are people getting the items early? O.o
I mainly want the character creation make over and the bikini, but I went with the 180 days cause I love the game.

There are two ways how to make sub / add additional days to you SE service account. If you pay by debit / card it will charge you (and add the 30 / 90 / 180) days AFTER your current free (14 / 30 / 60) days will expire at which point you'll receive the related Veterean bonus items. To obtain the items right away (e.g. PRIOR expiring of the free included days) you'd need to use the prepaid 60 days time cards for ARR. Then you'll receive the bonus items the moment you redeem the cards (you need two 60 days cards to receive all currently available Veteran rewards, three if you want to secure the upcoming level 4 ones as well) as the days are added right away rather than after expiring of the free days. However - this is only possible within the EU region where the time cards add the extra days directly while in the NA / US it recharges your Crysta which is then used to pay your sub again after the free days expire.
tl;dr: In EU - use prepaid 60 days time cards, in NA - not possible.
