Sudden drop in FPS

Hi-

One person in my household has experienced a sudden drop in FPS. This started today (8/28) at about 9AM PDT. We are running the Standard Laptop settings, and previously were running ~40FPS; today its between 10-20FPS.

I've read other folks who have had issues with this as well, and others who have indicated its in specific areas. This seems to be happening everywhere, for only one machine in our household.

We have two computers in our household with identical system specs; one is experiencing the issue, the other is not- so we know this isn't a hardware issue.

For reference, here are the system specs. Again, with one machine having the issue but not the other, it is likely a software/ISP/SE issue.

Windows 7 64bit
Processor: i7 2670QM 2.20GHz
Ram: 8GB
Vid Card: Radeon HD 6770M 1GB

Thoughts? Please advise!

Even with 2 identical systems the hardware is always going to be slightly different when it handles programs. Example is you can take 2 identical pc's and your able to overclock to x speed and not the other...

That aside. Are both running identical software? If not try just unloading everything but the game and see if the problem still happens... If it doesn't reload each app tell the problem happens could be the way 1 app takes over some processes.
