Leveling up a second class.

Does this work.

You take quests with your main class, say level 15, kill the enemies and before you go and turn it in you switch to your second class at level 1 or 2 and get the level 15 quest XP, probably leveling up 3 levels at once?

Or is there something preventing that?

You wont be able to turn in unless the character is at the same level of the Quest.

Yes, I kinda figured something like that, otherwise it would be a bit too easy I suppose.

Just wondering then, how does one level a new class once you did all the quests in the 3 starter cities?

Hunting Log, Fates, Guildheist later on dungeons.

I guess it's how you go about it.

For me I started as a MRD. So I have been doing all the quests in Limsa and around. But no other places.

I decided to work on my PUG. So I went to Ul'dah and did those quests for them there.

I also play with my husband so I guess that alleviates some of the grind. But I'm crazy and a completionist to I had to grab everything heh

It will take time and care and using the gorup events as you cant repeat quests once they are done in any class. Except for the class ones which are unique to is.

You can always start a new character when that is opened up. And there will be plenty of new content at times goes by and special events and so much to look forward to. I hope people dont rush, no need, and there is no hurry. Enjoy the journey.
