Still can't login, but I read the news. It say, well... That news update was fales. I hope with in the next few days, that this real stops. I can't see why everybody can't play together. If you asked me, I would swap servers. Would that help?

need more info, why can you not log in, is it asking for your registration code? If so, then click http://support.na.square-enix.com/fa...68528&ret=main
Are you not getting the servers list or are you stuck with the 1017 error code?
No one can get it. It's just wasting our game time which we paid for.
If you read the Twitter's feed, you'll see how many issues they are experiencing https://twitter.com/FFXIV_NEWS_EN Almost every hour they're updating with more and more problems. I hope they can fix them soon. I know it's wasted money, but that's how it works everywhere. You pay and pray for a service.
The news post is misleading. I think what they are specifically referring to was the issue with NA/EU server lists being unavailable, which seems to be a separate issue from 1017 errors.
They were "addressed," not fixed.
