My First Thread: Congratulations, FFXIV:ARR.

This is not my first post on this forum, but I want to make sure my first thread is not about complaining/reporting bug/whatsoever.
Just reached lv30 awhile ago, I really want to continue playing, but you DEVs have made such a great game, I am compelled to hold it off for awhile, to express my gratitude and to congratulate you here.

The graphics...the gorgeous world...how beautifully the environment changes with the weather, day night cycle, the nightsky filled with stars, sun/moon/star rising...the lighting & lightning...the harmony of colors among all elements (monster + environment + cities + npcs + etc)...Whoever has orchestrated such a masterful symphony, "genius" is an understatement!

(BTW, players, Burning Wall is one of the must-see!)

The music...oh the music...arrggghh the music!!! Damn the music!!! Can't keep myself from humming the Gridania music!!! Nuff' said. I simply can't find words to tell you how much I enjoy all these musics.

The main quest story...I always try to read all quest texts in all MMORPGs I play, but ended-up either turned-off by bad localization or just downright boring reading...
Thus, I am glad to say your wall-o'-text has been quite entertaining thus far! I even right-click on random npcs (who is just sitting around the corner without any quest-sign over their heads), to see what interesting things they might spout to me!

Noteworthy: After completing the Ifrit and back to Waking Sand, seeing how Thancred apologize for not being there, and then say to himself (it goes something like this) "...*He* wouldn't have allowed this to happen...I must grow stronger...", looking at the broken-staff at the centre of the hall...damn, hard to not getting touched...

I couldn't recount all the great moments I had with the storyline right now, but this is the first MMO where I am sooooo eagerly playing just to progress the storyline!

The gameplay is very solid. Started as a Conjurer in Gridania, plan to become White Mage. So I guess I am a lil' biased, because I see how people complained about melee GCD, but I never bothered by it, probably due to cast-time.
The very well-designed threatmeter and target-indicator (the arrows pointing from monster to play when they switch target) really makes playing Conjurer a very fun & rewarding experience! The combat was fluid and there's totally no lag even when there's so many player & monsters on my screen spamming attacks on FATE events!

(I must stop praising, otherwise I will never get to play...)

I hereby earnestly, solemnly, wholeheartedly congratulate & thank the producers and the developers, for all that you guys have endured and suffered, created such a wondrous piece of art. Really, thank you. *hat-off & salute*

I am sure there's a lot of players out there who view this game negatively, I will not argue nor disrespect your opinion, but I wish to point-out a few things:

1) I hope server-issue will eventually be resolved, but do not dismiss the game because of that. Come back later, and see it for yourself in-game, only judge until then.

2) Early levels in this game is very easy, yes, but it is designed as such, according to producer himself. Consider those players who never played MMO before. I really like how the difficulty scales in this game, your mileage may differ, but I would say a judgement is passed too quickly if you haven't finished all dungeons pre-lv25.

3) For those who:
- just click-click-click and didn't bother reading quest text
- just rushing through areas, running in straight-line to next quest-sign, and didn't take time to appreciate the world in-details
Well, it's like reading a book, but skipping one paragraph after each...

4) For those who say there's nothing new about FFXIV, nothing next-gen, nothing whatosever: who cares when it's so damn fun?! New or not, everything is put together very nicely, and that in itself is a very refreshing thing nowadays.

Yes, there are missing-features that I wish were in-place, and there's always room for improvement, but I am very pleased with this very polished game, and have high confidence in the DEVs team who pulled this off.

For those good-nature and rationally-minded player, I welcome you to this community, and implore you to see-through the temporary difficulties, as MMORPG will have patches and updates which will address these issues eventually.

That's all I wanna say...which is already too much more than I originally planned :D (And there goes my post count for today...)
