RMT ?
Encountered these when I started a new character on Aegis (JP Legacy Server):

They were all moving in exactly the same manner, as if it were multiple characters being controlled by a single player, with different latencies per character. I assume these are RMT / Gil Farmers? If so, is there a way to report them?
Also, I hope these people aren't the reason for the huge server loads ...

Yes, there is a good chance they are gold farmers as I know that they are already becoming a problem in the game. There doesn't seem to be an easy or intuitive way to report farmers and bots as far as I know and hopefully something will be done to stop them from messing up the game. Oh and yes farmers like you showed are definitely adding to the current server population problems because they are taking up space from people that actually want to play.

Having seen this exact scene many times before in XI and in WoW I'm gonna go ahead and say that, yes, without a doubt that is RMT character farming in action. In answer to your question, you can report these people here: http://support.na.square-enix.com/co...382&la=1&fty=2
I strongly urge everyone to report these people as soon as the pop up. The best defense against RMT is a strong community offense. We need to make a strong stand against them now before they can really have time to embed themselves in our game. I myself received a /tell from one not 12 hours after official release, but was unable to report them because I didn't know where to go to do so. Please, share the link with everyone and help myself and others keep these people out of our game. If you're angry you can't play the game right now due to 1017, direct that anger towards RMTers! They're taking up the space we've paid for! Granted, getting these people kicked off the servers can't and won't get us all in but it's far more productive than making another post flaming SE for an issue they're well aware of and working to resolve.

That is a lot of work just to report someone, it will without a doubt deter more than a few players from reporting.
