I'm really starting to believe that it's a bug, otherwise SE pulled on us a really well hidden area.
It is a bug, its also been posted a couple times.
Thanks, that saves me spending more time to try and find it lol :D
That area is available only during the Gridania main scenario quests. I went there earlier and had a major 'wtf' moment too.
