Improve UI rendering consistency

Couldn't figure out how to edit the old thread title, so this is reborn :p

With patch 1.17 I noticed all the icons in your status bar as well as your party's status icons have been sharpened. This is in stark contrast the rendering quality seen on the action bar as well as most other UI elements. A similar case can be seen on the map screen, where items in the legend are crisper than their on-map counterparts suggesting that this could be a engine rendering issue with scaling graphical elements. The same issue is also present on the item search counter marker (star), where the scaling quality has changed and subsequently looks as if it scales unfiltered.

Before responding to the above, I first wanted to thank the Final Fantasy XIV team for putting out such a great patch, 1.17. Things are headed in the right direction and we are looking forward to the future updates. Thanks again for your hard work and dedication!

To the above comment, I noticed that in this update that the buff and debuff icons have been sharpened. They look fantastic and actually makes the other UI elements look very dated and blurry when in comparison. My only question is, will the team be updating the rest of the UI to match the sharpened images of the newer buff and debuff icons? As it stands now, the newer icons look a bit out of place when compared to the skill bar icons. I'm almost positive you guys are already working on this but I'd thought I'd send a message out just in case. Hope to see the entire UI sharpened like the new icons. Thanks for reading!

Looking at it, I think the argument really should be for consistency, yes - maybe that's the UI team's long term goal, but this certainly does need saying.

Personally I'd prefer the icons in their old state. Crisp or not, for me they stand out too much, distract me from the game environs ..'guess as ever it's a case of asking: Can we have a toggle for this, maybe?
