Says I'm in queue .... wait for it ... "world is full". Is there or is there not?

Is there or is there not a queue?

If I'm #2 in the queue .... a minutes passes and then the "1017" error pops up, that either means there really isn't a queue or something is broken where players in a queue are being purged.

Trying to be constructive here but really getting a broadcast of SOME kind of incompetence at some level.

Appears to me there may be multiple queues running simultaneously. I had the unique opportunity to be one of a tandem due playing the log in mini game recently. we both got into a queue in fairly short order but there was a different rate of entry for each queue.

Sounds like a reasonable hypothesis ... though the net effect is the player feels lied to ;)

Well, I would like to comment that, the delay on fixing this problem on time, is causing problems to those who have a measly 15 days of free play period, to really get into the game, and to test it out to see if it's really up to our expectations before we decide whether to go for a long term subscription.

For the past 2-3 days since it's gone LIVE, I'm not even MOTIVATED to log in as I'll be constantly pressing on redundant Start > Login with char > 1017.....

I know Producer have apologized on the problem, and it's known, and it's also on the way of being addressed.

But what I'm really looking forward to is our 15 days, isn't a full 15 days. If you're looking at solving the problem only next week on the additional resource, we're short changed of 1 week's time.
And I'm sure a lot of version 1.0 players are also feeling the same, so I ask of you, since there is a KNOWN PROBLEM, causing a downtime, penalizing the user's play time (or even to login at all, since my windows of availability is simply that few hours of the Japan peak time), how would you compensate this ?

I'm quite surprised that this is still happening.. really.

kpau: After some looking and thinking and brainstorming with friends, we've kind of come to a conclusion.
What has queue isn't logging into the world but the login server itself. It's an anti-concurrency measure, so that the login server, which is kind of global, doesn't crashes itself with people trying to log in concurrently you're put into a queue to have your login request processed. The result of your login request is dependant on the world, you can still get a "world full, request denied" after your request is processed.

So getting a queue is not at all indicative of ever getting in the game, it's that even the very login system is overwhelmed

valid point I tend to not really complain about games that much but yea if I get charged for a game I couldn't play I would be pretty pissed off but I think they extended the ftp time because of these issues. either way I feel the same way I am stuck on Gungnir and I cant log in to play, I wouldn't mind getting a free transfer to a NA server where I could play the game during our own peak hours

As painful this sounds just don't log out...
