Unable to log into FF XIV

Okay so, I keep getting this message that there is maintenance being performed and I cannot log in.

OMG this was such a simple fix.

The launcher uses IE settings.
Internet Options in IE must be set to default.
Mainly, Privacy settings must be at Medium or below.
This is why it kept giving me a maintenance message.

I launch the game.
It checks version.
I enter my password
I receive a message, "Maintenance" in four different languages.

Mind you this has been like this for the past 24 hours.

I asked on general forums, how long maintenance usually lasts. They all said between 3-4 hours. It has been 24 hours. Something is not right here.

Please help.

It seems to be account related. My boyfriend cannot log into his account on his computer, but if I log into my account on his computer, it lets me right in. First it would just loop back to the login page, then he started getting the maintenance message. It would do the same loop back on lodestone. Finally he reset his password and he was able to log in even though it never gave any message that the password was incorrect.

Hmm. I will try that. Thank you for response. This is a very annoying issue.

Doesn't seem like changing my password helped any. I am stillg etting the maintenance message.

I am so close to leaving this game. GRrr.
