Subscription on Early Access account

So, why doesn't square enix enable subscription on the early access service account? i'm one of the few people who accidently registered the Collector's Edition code to a new service account. I was hoping that even if Square enix doesn't resolve the issue before my free period ends, i could pay for the subscription and wait it out till the whole issue gets sorted. instead, i can't play my main account cause the free period on early access is over and i can't even buy extended time for it cause the option isn't there. now i have nothing to do on ffxiv. seriously don't get why they can't enable it. :mad:

Give them time, this isn't just an enable or don't enable problem. If they did this anyone who preordered and then cancelled could get the game with only paying a sub.

Because your game isn't registered on that account.

@ Psychis, are you like the SE spokes person or something. I paid good money for this game and I have what seems to be the OPs same issue. I have 1 more day on a 3 day free trial and no way to continue service.
I don't want to here "give them time" they have had more than enough time since they totally failed on 1.0 to fix these issues.
and yes I have played several MMOs from beta and I have never seen it screwed this bad.

but technically the registration codes received for early access is a registration code. so it should be possible. by adding the new code for collector's edition, you're just essentially adding new service options to an already registered account. but yeah, i've sent a ticket in but no reply for 3 days. pretty lame

people who preordered and then cancelled wouldn't of had an early access code or any code to register to begin with. so it makes no difference

I'm trying to help you in your other thread, and not it not likely that you have this same issue. I told him why they can't just enable subs on an EA account, I never said SE is awesome or never said they didn't fuck up. They did, I'm only here to help you and now you make me not want to.

YEs they would have gotten an EA code, they preorder, get an EA code, and then cancel because game wasn't out yet. Very easy to do and I know a few who did.

No the EA is not a registration code, this is a bif problem everyone is having, there's a third code that looks like an EA code but it isn't. Who the hell knows why they made this as convoluted as possible but they did.

well that would be really stupid if SE didn't decide to either not give refunds for people who registered the EA code and then cancel. most retail game stores wouldn't allow refunds for games that have their codes registered already.

also, the EA code isn't the actual code, but it still sets up the same layout in mog station if you go see. i have "service account 1" as my EA code, and "service account 2" as my CE code. they're essentially the same type of code with only certain service options opened. the CE code has subscription payments open whereas the EA code doesn't. i'm pretty sure it's not that hard to enable subscription on an EA code in mogstation.
