First time SE user, I have to really say the whole purchase, account setup, and registration is a disaster. I've never had a harder time trying to play a game before in my life.
Account setup was a headache as well, and then even registering on the forums had to be a task. Why can't I go on the forums???....Select the character first..., oh, SO I CAN'T CLICK ON THE DAMN CHARACTER TO SELECT HIM, JUST THAT TINY ASS STAR that you finally try after 5 mins of messing around.
Also, what's awesome about this game is you couldn't even play it during "early access" or at launch. Now this is hopefully temporary and should be resolved. But now I'm wondering how this game that had issues with server capacities a week-two weeks ago during "early access" and open beta, never saw the foresight to upgrade their servers for launch time.
This whole thing is frustrating to say the least. We pay for the service, you provide. Only one of us is failing here.

As for Playonline, it was the old SqEnix online service that existed for FFXI. -
