Chocobo Question/Suggestion

The gear a Chocobo gets is in 3 pieces and you can mix and match. Does this mean they have, or will have, stats or bonuses of some type?

Because I'd like to see something like this.

Head: 1 skill specific to the gear
Body: % +/- to abilities
Legs: Resistance +/- to both phy and magi damages

What do I mean by skills? Well I spent a bit of time thinking of it. I'm using the, rumour I heard, for job class gear for the Chocobo. Like White Mage or Paladin.

Wearing the Paladin helm gives a defensive AoE buff that reduces incoming damage by 5%

White Mage would give the Chocobo the useful Healing Winds

And just for the challenge of it I spent time figuring out Scholar and Summoner.

Scholar: Summons an Chocobo Chic. All party members gain 5% bonus to received heals.

Summoner: Summons a random mini element, fire spirit ect, that Casts one spell before vanishing. Can be an AoE Enfire, Firespikes. Lasts 30 seconds.

Right now it's pretty much eyecandy. :p
