How does server become full while you are already in queue? (1017 after queue?)

Seriously, wtf... is this just me? Its bad enough you have to sit and spin..errr click for 5 hours to get a queue spot, then on one of its automated refreshes you get 1017 again... aggrrrrh :mad::mad::mad:

Yes, this -just- happened to me as well. I was so happy to get into the queue and was just waiting, and then bam, same thing as you...

That happened to my guildie. It is actually weird how that happens and my guess it that it queues 100 people, but only 50 of those 100 can get in.

It's probably the server thinking it has room in the queue but really doesn't. Or it overbooks thinking some people will drop but then not enough do, like how planes work. When servers are under this much load weird things can happen, it's a surprise they haven't crashed.

i agree with you, this issue is strange. it plants the idea that there really isnt a queue, and your in a momentary pause until you get let into the game (somewhat like lag) or maybe until you get into the queue, and then when the pause (or lag?) is through being a piece of crap, you get kicked, cause the server was actually full the entire time.

So you're saying it continues to operate under the same logic that SE did when they originally calculated the number of servers required for launch? :D

I had a similar issue i was in queue, got to the loading screen, and got an error message could not connect to server. Then i tried again and got 1017 for another 15 mins

Take a break. Try playing next week. Imagine the release date is 9/6/13 just like 1.0.

I'm going to start a collection here.... just got one again. Am I lucky that I got a queue so fast, or unlucky that it keeps not meaning jack.
