Increase in ps3 frame rate

I'm not sure this is the best place to post this thread, however i was wondering if the Developers could at some point allow the ps3 players to dumb down the graphics so that the frame rate levels out. I know it comes off nit picky but i remember that the nice thing about PC is that you could always drop the graphics for better gameplay and the gameplay on ps3 is choppy enough to where it affects overall gameplay. Not that the game is bad! I would like to say i am thoroughly enjoying FF XIV ARR. But if anybody knows of some way i could even out my frame rate to even 40 that would be awesome.
