BROKEN LAUNCHER from recent update

Since last night's update I have not been able to log in AT ALL. I can't even get to the character selection screen, so this is not a server congestion problem.

-I put in my password to log in

-"Checking Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn"

-Launcher Error Pop-Up: [30410] [30607] [20457] [409]

I have sent in Trouble Tickets and have not gotten a single response.

Tech Support, please give me a solution.

I have restarted my comp several times over, power cycled modem and router several times over, uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher -many- times over. Nothing

That sounds like the error codes for the version check error. If you go to your game folder in /SquareEnix/Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn/ and replace your boot folder with a known working one (linked below) that usually resolves this issue.

Thanks a bunch. It got past the checking part and is now downloading the game update. It's taking a long time but hopefully this will fix my problem.

So my launcher is trying to download the updates to the game. After about a 4th of the way the download freezes and makes no progression.

Approximate time doesn't change over a long period of time, and the wheel to the side freezes as well.

Anyone have a solution for unable to complete downloading the updates?

I still cannot get the update to download through my launcher.

Does anyone have a source of the recent update files they can toss my way, and help note where to put them?

And you can still open the launcher? I'm not sure if its much help although I was able to recreate your initial problem where it has the 3 numbered errors when trying to open the updater. If you open ffxivboot.ver (make sure it is .ver) with notepad, having the number "2013.08.27.0000.0001" allows me to open the updater again. If your number is different you will receive this problem. I am not sure though if it will patch correctly if you are missing files. Good luck to you.

This might also be a similar problem and yours might be completely different if this does not help at all I apologize. I don't want to suggest re-installing but if you do I would suggest to not delete your original files in case they start working again.

im also having the same problem [11035][5][9900][5]... The game worked perfect the day I bought it and I started getting script errors when I clicked the launcher.. so I tried to reinstall the game and now cant get passed the updater error... been trying to figure a solution out the passed 4 days and no luck so far...waiting on SE to reply back

I am having same problem. I was able to play until the game actually got release Aug 27. now I get the client verification thing. I don't understand cause I completely take the game off my cpu but when I try to re download all's it does create a desktop icon and its like I never took the game off my cpu I don't have to re install 20 gigs or whatever.

Can someone put up the actuall game maybe a torrent or something ?

I downloaded that file ^ from drop box. it takes a minute when I log in but I still get an error code only 1 though instead of like 3 :/.

I figured out my problem ..im so stupid was very simple... after u uninstall game your ff XIV files are still in your computer delete them before u reinstall mines updating now and everything going smooth
