Update is way too slow

Hey there Square Enix team.
I think you should enhance a little update servers. Its way too slow. I think its not normal to have a 6 hours update (in a 10MB ADSL internet connection). Try to increase the numbers of peers :S

I have heard a lot of complaints about this. My update took all of 18 mins to complete, and I am only on 10meg broaband. I was well out of peak time hours when I my patch updated though, so maybe that had an effect on my download time.

Yeah :S Well I finnaly finished updating the game... Hell of a time it took :X

You can update the game via a torrent instead of using the actual updater. All you have to do is the following:

1. Download a bittorent client like Utorrent
2. Go to Start menu > Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy 14 > Downloads > FFXIV > 48eca647
3. Then you open up the meta file in the utorrent client.
4. Once it is done downloading you take the file you downloaded and place it in the patch folder I believe (I could be wrong about this last step but im pretty sure thats what you do.

Depending on 3rd party programs to download an update for an MMORPG?

My internet is lucky to get 1MB download, and I'm in Australia so god knows how slow it's going to be :\

Dont knock it till you try it. I mean it downloads at least 90% faster than the FFXIV client. Trust me it works just fine.

took me 10-15min to download when i open my ports is said on many ports like 500times now if you to lazy to learn how to open ports then waste 20+hours downloading the update.

here are the ports

UDP - 55296 - 55551
TCP - 54992 - 55551
UDP - 443
