Looting System--Lancer and Dragoon cannot roll Need on Lancer/Dragoon gear

Steps:
The NEED option is greyed out on LNC/DRG gear from looted chests despite having stats beneficial towards the class/job (ie. scale armor). Example: Today a few friends and I went to Baryflox Longstop. A head piece that was fit for tanks, lancers and dragoons had stats like parry. Need was greyed out for dragoon. Another piece of gear dropped, this time gauntlets--steel scale gauntlets--with stats such as vitality, crit rate, strength, and something else that are all beneficial for lancers and dragoons over tanks. The option for NEED was greyed out despite never possessing this type of armor and never running this dungeon before.

I don't know if this is a bug with the looting system, but it's highly inconvenient towards lancers and dragoons wishing to progress with higher tiered gear dropped from dungeons.

Same happened to me in Halatali when Doctore's armor piece dropped. It clearly stated that LNC DRG can use it but only Gladiator could roll Need on it (everyone could Greed, so potentially it could go even to a healer). If this would happen at some high level stuff in some hardmode run later it would be rather "disappointing". And judging from different bug reports it will happen.

I can confirm this issue, I cannot role need on any of the armor for Dragoons in Baryflox Longstop as well. The other classes whose stats are on it can role need.

Saw it too yesterday on my brothers DRG in the Brayflox dungeon...it clearly said "DRG" on the item but only the tank could roll need on it...needless to say it got him furious ;)

thats most likely cause he was dpsing not tanking would be the reason most likely if he tried as tank he might be able to roll on it

I understand the whole "if the stats are better for the tank, it will be for the tank," but this certain item had stats that would benefit DPS OVER tank. And the NEED option was still greyed out. It's kinda silly since Dragoons are supposed to be that scale armor class, evolving from leather gear.

I've yet to see a tank item that's actually better for dps then a dps item. Notice Paladins etc are complaining they can't roll on dragoon gear. Which clearly is dps gear. Yes it should only state glad/pal/war/mrd for tanks to avoid confusion. And vise versa for dps gear. But the need option is actually working correctly.

Tanks actually have GLD/PAL/MRD/WAR gear specifically for tanking that Lancers can't wear. Paladins can roll need on Plate and Scale gear. They can't roll need on Disciple of War gear, but neither should they. That gear has extremely defense compared to plate/scale. I have not heard of any paladin complaining about not being able to roll need ever.

Then it's not a DD piece, it's a tank piece, the set you want to obtain for DDs is the Infantry set from longstop, not Cavalry. The only reason LNC/DRG "can" use it is for lore purposes, mechanics wise it would just be a dick move depriving tanks of their ONLY set in that dungeon, when you would have two sets available, no?

Just because it has higher strength doesn't mean it's a DD upgrade, all melee pieces have strength and vitality as stats regardless of role. Look at the secondary stats and ignore defence as a DD as you shouldn't be planning on getting hit in the first place.

If you really want it that bad, either run the dungeon with friends and ask if you can have it or level a tank and roll need on it.

Just to reiterate: Just because your class is listed, doesn't mean it's good for you, MND rings are labelled as all classes, you can't roll need on those as DRG either.

Also, there is GLA/MRD/LNC gear that lancers have priority on, they have determination and/or skill speed on them and no parrying, don't hear (good) tanks bitching about not being able to lot those, maybe the "DDWARs" but that's not for here. Aethereal sets also have some randomised stats, standard steel scale set does not have any DD stats therefore is flagged as a tank set.

I have a similar issue, was doing a lv. 15 dungeon and a necklace dropped that said "All Classes", and had Int and Mind points. I was playing as a conjurer and I couldn't roll need, but the lancer could.
