Just make sure the PS3 user is in the same server as you are, and then add them to your in-game friends list. Hope that helps! ^^
well I tried typing his name in but nothing showed up :/ I made sure we were both in the same world and everything.
They need to be online / logged into game at the time you look for them otherwise you'll unable to search / add them. And indeed you need to know and use the First and / or Last name of the character. Can't search using SE or PSN ID.
