Sometimes no egg?

I logged onto one character and got an egg. Logged onto another char and got an egg. Third char no egg from the NPC. O.o

"You are unable to receive an Archon egg at this time. Try again later."

The third character I tried was a suitable rank to get the quest.. because there was a "!" above the NPC's head. Seems I can't get the quest even though I should be able to activate it. What's up with that I wonder. o.o

Am I missing something? Or is it buggy?

(Forgot to mention it was my first time getting eggs, so my issue definitely isn't that I just got one and have to wait.)

No, cuz im from uldah and im in uldah and its saying the same thing to me.

Now I'm getting angry. Whats the point of a ! being on something if it does nothing. This looks like an awesome event. All of a sudden huge easter eggs are everywhere. A NPC has quest icon. and it doesnt give me a quest. I'm peeved.

In XI you had to wait one game day to get another item. When the clock hits 0:00 try talking to the NPC again.

Hmm, yeah I am running into this as well. I know my character is only rank 30 and lvl 34, but the question mark still shows up and I can't get an egg. Maybe I will try one of the ones in another city? No idea.
