5-7 FPS, help diagnose my specs that are causing this please!

Im relatively computer illiterate, so I need to know what to upgrade to make this run smoother. Copy Pasting from System Specs:

OS: Windows 8 64x bit
Processor: AMD FX-6120 Six-Core Processor 3.50 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 10 GB (9.79 usable)
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7450
Disk Space: 910 GB

It lags badly and can't figure out why. Graphics card needs an update maybe? IF so, which would be a good, relatively cheap (80-100$) upgrade?

your specs are decent try checking all your drivers and maybe not play on total max settings

the HD7450 is a pretty weak card.

I'd look into upgrading to a:
HD 7750 (about $100 on sale)
or
HD 7850 (about $150 on sale, one of the best bang for the buck options)

Either of those cards should give you a 8-10x boost in benchmark scores.

Also uncheck fps lock from display options.

Benchmark clocked in at an amazing 1023. Graphics card it is.

1023? That's actually quite low. Did you use the FFXIV Official Benchmark?

Yes, it ran the into video and everything. Bought a Geforce 660 GTX, hopefully should improve performance substantially
