Cannot create character

I have registered my copy of Collector's Edition today and got hell of a surprise after loging into game. I cannot choose any of the europeans servers to create a character I can choose only japanese servers and now is my question to Square Enix emplyers why the hell would I like to create character on a jp server when I'm living in Poland and i don't speak japanese? I would like to say that this is a scandal that I paid for the game and it is impossible to play it. I understand that there are always difficulties but it does not justify this situation. You are a big company, this is not your first mmorpg you should be able to predict such situations, this is what you do for a living, I have always thought about your company as professionals but now I see it is otherwise. I understand that all players that cannot create characters after registering a game will get free game time as a compensation and apology. It is as I said a true scandal.

Well, they did not predict such a success of this game... all servers are full so you can't even create a new toon, there even limiting purchase of this game to at the moment do to the high demand..

Chill. You must be new here. The server has been experiencing heavy traffic from large amount of players connecting in. They do have plans to address the issue but the supporting hardware is not gonna pop out of thin air and just works. They're looking at by early next week to get a server capabilities increase as well as brand new servers to create new characters on. Yes, you paid for the game but it's an MMO and it's hard to predict things without prior knowledge. Can you honestly tell me what the weather is going to be like tomorrow in Texas 100% sure? I rest my case.

Yes you are right. But I simply don't care, I paid for a product I cannot use and for that this is highy unprofessional. I know every mmo has issues at the beginnings but you can at least create character, I don't mind waiting to get into the game but not be able to create character at all? At this situation my copy of the game is useless.

New here or not, it sucks for those that haven't had the chance to create a character yet.

What is more, there are the same issues with jp servers BUT there people can create character. This shows how important for Square Enix is european market and it's players. It would be nice to know even approx. date when it will be possible to create characters.

They have different time zone, different locked-out time compared to NA/EU. I've heard their servers have also been locked out multiple times lately without being able to create characters. If you want to create a character so bad, use the benchmark to create a look you want, save it and when they allow new character creation, all you have to do is come up with is a name. Unless you're using a generic name from anime, cartoon, whatever, chances are you'll get the name you want. I don't argue that you did pay for a product and cannot use YET but that issue also shows up in different industry, not just MMO or gaming.

True and it doesn't matter what industry this is my reaction would be the same, you pay for a product you should get what you paid for, otherwise it just doesn't work. Oh and another absurd is that I had to create char on jp server to even write on this forum.

Still rather upset that I cannot play with my friends on another server.

I got to play in open beta and the first day of early access but sense then I have been locked out of my server and I feel the same way you do about the whole situation that's been going on. To lock out player from playing a game they paid for is bad business practice and the only eta we have on a fix is only a band-aid fix that wont come till next week.

They need to open up ques and boot afker from game after a time period and when they add more server free transfers to the new server is what needs to happen to get this game running again.
