Im lvl 18 and wanted to take on mining completed one quest in the miners guild but cant figure out what to do on the second quest it just says "this quest not yet available required class/job: min"
So how do i continue with mining?

You can't take the quest unless your equipped with the mining pick. just because you have mining, doesn't mean you are currently a miner.
Switch over to mining...then try again. if you still can't take it...your not high enough lvl.
Quest are at lvl 1-5-10-15 etc...
ok two questions.
1. by switching over to mining do you mean equip a mining pick?
if not then how do i dot that.
2. im high enough lvl i did min i the beta phases at lvl 14 i think and im lvl 18 now.
Can u buy pickaxe somewhere?
Yes i mean equip the pick axe.
When you first get it, you revert to a lvl 1 miner. and you gain mining experience from doing miner quests and by actually just mining various materials. the higher level/harder to find the material...the more xp its worth. Getting a HQ material gives 200% xp bonus etc.
If you are a lvl 20 gladiator and you just take mining..youre a lvl 1 miner till you get experience mining. Equiping the pick will get rid of ALL your gladiator skills while you are a miner, and you get miner skills on our quickslot bar instead.
In order to switch job/class all you have to do is change weapon so if ur a gld in the field you can switch to cnj instantly by equiping the right weapon also helps to make sets so you dont have to switch all ur gear manually i have my gear set for gld cnj and blacksmith all i have to do is click on it and it equips all the gear assigned to it
yes i know all of that but the problem i that i dont have an pick axe where do get that then?
You should have been given a pick axe as the quest reward for the first quest you completed with the miner's guild.
Problem solved had the pickaxe in my invetory just didnt see it :P

Look for Field/Battlecrafts NPC's they got stuff for ya.
I want to try mining it looks fun and would be a nice break from all the bashing of foes. :)
