Bug or changed on purpose for THM spells

Hi all,

Finally I was able to get into the legacy server late last nite. I played my 22 THM a bit and found I always agrroed 2 mobs at the same time using either Blizzard 1 or Fire 1 spell.

Is that a bug or something is changed? and is there a way to turn it off?

I played XIV V1.0 for few months as THM and i dont recall the spell was acting like AOE unless i turn it on like -> "/aoe on".

what mob are you fighting? and blizzard 1 and fire 1 are single target. Unless your fighting mob that links or aggro.

Is it hitting/damaging both, or are the mobs just linking? If you're in a party, or over a certain level, mobs will link.

If you 22 THM cast fire one a single Lv10 mob, for example, its going to aggro 2-3 nearby mobs.

Aggressive mobs usually link together if they are in close proximity

I was fighting lv1 non-aggressive mobs outside of Ul'Dah's entrance. Only one mob was damaged, not both.

Sounds like because I am a 22 THM and it automatically aggros/links nearby mobs when I attack one of them?

If yes, what's the safe Lv difference range so I wont link 2 or 3 mobs at the same time?
