Not Accepting New Chars Question

I am a Legacy acct, on Ragnarok server with several friends playing on the server with me. I just talked my best friend into playing ARR with me but he is unable to create a char on my or any server.

My question is, are the existing servers already truly full or is this a temporary restriction based on the server issues? Also, being as that's a Legacy server, is there anything special we need to do in order for my friend to play on Ragnarok with me? If it's temporary is there already a time frame on when the restriction will be removed?

As far as I can tell from what we've been told... the restrictions are currently temporary and the servers are not at absolute max capacity. We will be getting new servers (and then presumably the other servers will open back up again too) but there is no ETA on that yet.

Thanks, that was about as much as I was able to discern. Here's to hoping it's fixed quick, really anxious to play with a long time friend.

Even once new servers are up and running I don't expect the creation locks to be removed on Legacy servers any time soon TBH, I expect to see SE wait many days untikl the influx subsides before allowing character creation again.
