Lodestone Mail/personal messaging?

There doesn't seem to be any mail/messaging system in Lodestone for person to person communication.

Obviously this is necessary since, in game, mail can only be sent to those on your friend list. So, for instance, those wishing to apply to a FC would have no way to contact FC officers unless they both happen to be logged on at the same time.

If there IS a pm system... and it's buried somewhere or you have to follow a trail of breadcrumbs to find your messages... well, I really hope that's not what's going on here.

A nice, big red (1) somewhere which takes you directly to your messages would be nice.

On a side note, to make each person's page worth visiting, it would be nice to have a message board on each person's page so that their friends can comment and such if they visit.
