When I entered Gridania riding my chocobo from North Shroud, the game crashed on me. After saying I can't take my chocobo into the area, I said 'ok to dismount,' the screen turned all black instead of showing 'New/Old Gridania.' A few seconds later I arrived at the PS3 menu.
