Can Players Please Calm Down? ;p

I understand you're all 'paying customers' but you're also becoming very annoying, irritating ones as well. The game has been live for less than a week and people are calling for heads, crying about being maltreated, and whining left and right about every possible issue there is to whine about.

Take some time to close your mouths and appreciate the hard work and dedication the FFXIV's development team has put into revamping this game from the ground up and think about what they're having to go through right now to compensate and correct all the problems they're facing. This launch isn't *that* bad. I've seen far worse in past releases.

They will iron things out. It will get smoother and more accommodating. I could understand if several months went by and things went unaddressed and ignored but that is not the case right now.

Relax and let the development team do it's job. They don't owe us 24/7 status updates. Be happy they give us any at all, unlike NCSoft and Aion.

I agree with you, I seriously don't get why people won't understand that EVERY game has this issue, at launch, SE are actually doing very well since the servers AREN'T lagging when you finally get in and you CAN actually get on your char just by trying for 5-10 min

Nah, people are just venting. The dev team shouldn't take it their words too seriously, especially if they're giving their all to get things running. All the players will be happy campers the moment the server issues are fixed. We'll barely speak of these times once we're ingame and things are running.

And maybe when they calmed down, they'll start making their threads in the right forum categories as well.

I get that, but in the meantime I'm just getting sick of listening to spoiled, annoying players cry themselves into hyperventilation over trivial things. I know it's 'how the internet is' but it's also a reason why so many past MMO's have withered away. The games were horrible and the players matched it. Players in this new generation of gaming have horrible mentalities, and suffer from ADHD overload. If people really want something to cry about, they can go back in time to Ultima Online. Origin released a patch that broke the game. Player houses disappeared and contents fell on the ground--freely lootable by all. Characters were randomly deleted. They had to take the entire game offline for 3 days to fix it and revert the server state back by a week. Servers aren't supposed to be reliable during launch week. Now is their best time to get feedback so they can improve the whole experience. Beta's can only do so much. This game feels amazing so far and I'm enjoying every minute of it ;p

I'd make my posts in the 'right categories' if the forum stopped giving me error messages and refused to let posts be made on them. Currently, this is the only forum that's allowing posts. The others are giving error messages and saying 'my daily limit has been reached', etc etc. (Erroneously)

I'm not even sure what to do about the forum issue. Someone mentioned your character had to be level 25 or something, or that you needed to have a certain amount of posts made? lol..Never heard of game forums having such strict limits..I hope it's just a bug.

Try logging in to a JP one right now :P
Almost all of them are locked.
We do get the same issues, we just don't complain as much it seems.
