[NA] FINAL FANTASY XIV Hotfixes (May 7, 2026)
■ In Windurst: The Third Walk, the appearance of the battlefield during the battle against Promathia has been updated.
■ The following issues have been addressed:
- An issue when undertaking the Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures quest "Meteorites and Meteor-wrongs," introduced in Patch 7.45, wherein, after the final cutscene fades to black, the screen remains black and the quest cannot be completed.
- An issue wherein some NPC dialogue will display in Japanese during certain parts of the Patch 7.5 main scenario quests.
- In Housing, when you set up a second patch, there are cases where, under certain conditions, you will no longer be able to target the first patch that has already been set up.
*If this issue occurs, you can resolve it by placing the item in your inventory after the fix is applied and then placing it again.
- In Windurst: The Third Walk, if a K.O.'d player returns to the starting point at a specific timing after Promathia is defeated, the screen remains black.
- In the instanced dungeon "The Clyteum" introduced in the Patch 7.5, spiritbond does not increase.
- When exchanging items with the following NPC vendors, the confirmation pop-up incorrectly displays Japanese text.

- The unintended availability of the Senor Otter Pack fashion accessory, which is scheduled for release as a future reward.
*Due to a recent update, the “Senor Otter Pack” is no longer available. It will be available during a seasonal event scheduled for late May 2026, so we hope you will acquire it again at that time. Please note that if you were using the “Senor Otter Pack” prior to the update, it will become unavailable as of the time the update was applied.
- An issue wherein the following undyeable gear displays the dye icons and dye subcommand, allowing the item dyeing window to be erroneously opened:
Moogle Head / Moogle Body / Moogle Arms / Moogle Buns / Moogle Legs
- Dye 2 is no longer applied to the hem of the Air Cell Halfslops when worn by male Roegadyn and male Hrothgar.
- When the Dirndl Long Skirt is equipped together with certain body gear on non-Lalafell female characters, the gear may be displayed incorrectly when performing certain animations and poses.
- The Caprino and Wind-up Red XIII minions have black dots displayed on their models when the Texture Resolution setting is set to Standard, or when playing on the PlayStation®4 / Xbox Series S versions. (Windows® / Mac / Steam / PlayStation®4 / Xbox Series S only)
- When your character is standing up from the crafting idle state (being seated with crafting tool drawn), switching to another class or job may cause the character to become immobilized.
- Certain textures in the first arena of Futures Rewritten (Ultimate) are not properly displayed. (PlayStation®5 only)
- An issue in the Bannock in the Central Shroud wherein the striking dummies display the incorrect level, and the "Reset Striking Dummy Enmity" subcommand is unavailable.
- The Quest Progression Settings under Character Configuration are incorrectly triggered around garden patches, hired NPCs, and mannequins.
- When using a DualSense wireless controller, haptic feedback is not being triggered as intended when the job gauge for certain jobs reaches specific thresholds. (Windows® / Steam only)
FINAL FANTASY XIV: Hotfixes (Aug. 27)
The following adjustment has been made:
- We have adjusted the difficulty level on the following conjurer quests:
Trial by Wind / Trial by Water / Like Mother, Like Daughter
The following issues have been addressed:
- An issue wherein the chocobo companion action "Choco Medica" would not properly recover HP.
- The following quests were not able to be completed if a player’s inventory was full:
- My Feisty Little Chocobo / Double Dragoon
- The cutscene for the "He Ain't Heavy" quest would be canceled when receiving damage.
- When challenging a boss during a FATE, the reward received when the FATE was unsuccessful was incorrect.
- There were cases where monsters in the Aurum Vale instanced raid would not use specific moves and the server would go down under certain circumstances.
- Searching for items on the markets that are available in large quantities would cause the game client to shut down.
- When stepping into an unknown land, players were able to obtain experience points repeatedly.
* We will be correcting the data for players that were affected by this issue.
If you received experience points in regards to this issue, please contact a GM via the Support Desk, or wait for an official announcement regarding the situation.
A solution has been implemented to address the following issue:
- Monsters would occasionally not appear during quest battles, which would prevent progression in the quest.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Hotfixes (Sep. 4)
The following issues have been addressed:- If a server goes down while a player is participating in a Duty, they may be prevented from logging back in due to the Error 90000.
- Several players may enter the same instanced area during a quest battle depending on the server load.
- The game may freeze when an instanced quest battle starts.
- The cutscene during the quest "Escape from Castrum Centri" may get cancelled if the player is attacked while the cutscene is playing.
- If a party wipes while progressing in the instance dungeon "Brayflox’s Longstop," they may not be able to re-enter the dungeon.
- The server may go down under certain circumstances in the instance dungeon "The Wanderer’s Palace."
- A player’s level may remain synched even after the end of a FATE.
- The server may go down under certain circumstances during FATEs.
- Experience points obtained for crafting a level 50 recipe is lower than intended.
- Game control may be lost if the Main Menu is opened at the moment a character begins gathering.
- The limit for receiving the "Allagan tomestone of mythology" may not reset correctly.
*Also, the receiving limit will be reset for all players during the maintenance on Sep. 4, 2013.
- The Mark of the Twelve may appear on a character even if the character is not on a version 1.0 account.
- The number of company seals displayed in a player's achievements may be incorrect.
- If a cutscene plays while the "Character" window is displayed, the player's character may appear in an incorrect location.
- The server may go down under certain circumstances when a company chest is interacted with.
- The text <mo> may not function correctly.
- The client may crash if a text command, which requires an object or character to be targeted, is entered without targeting anything.
- During character creation, an Error 3035 may appear if the "UPDATE" button is pressed in the World selection screen, preventing the new character from being created.
- Full-width alphanumeric characters may appear when text is entered with "kana input" settings. (PlayStation®3 only)
- A key must be pressed twice to attach a voice sound or semi-voiced sound mark on Japanese words. (PlayStation®3 only)
- The screenshot feature may not function correctly. (PlayStation®3 only)
- The Support Desk feature may be unavailable. (PlayStation®3 only)
- The message displayed after unlocking all aethernets in Gridania is in Japanese.
- The help text for magitek armor actions is displayed in Japanese in certain instanced dungeons.
- The client may force-close if, after taking a screenshot, a change to the screen settings is made in System Config, or the screen saver is activated. (Windows Version only)
The following measures have been implemented:- We have implemented countermeasures to alleviate the stress on servers.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Hotfixes (Sep. 12)
The following features have been implemented:- An auto-logout feature has been introduced wherein characters that are inactive for 30 minutes will be automatically logged out of the game.
The following adjustments and countermeasures have been implemented:- Changes have been made to the behavior and mechanics of the enemies found within the “The Wanderer’s Palace” and “Amdapor Keep” dungeons to counteract instances of players running through the dungeon without engaging enemies on the way to bosses.
As advancing through dungeons without defeating enemies is not an intended strategy, we plan to continue making further changes in the future to discourage this type of behavior.
- The number of Allagan coins that can be obtained from treasure chests found within "The Wanderer's Palace" and "Amdapor Keep" have been increased.
- Reduced the amount of gil required for repair fees and materia removal as follows:
Equipment levels 1-10: 10 gil -> No Change
Equipment levels 11-20: 50 gil -> 30 gil
Equipment levels 21-30: 100 gil -> 60 gil
Equipment levels 31-40: 210 gil -> 120 gil
Equipment levels 41-50: 500 gil -> 200 gil
- Reduced the price of Dark Matter as follows:
Dark Matter G1: 5 gil -> 4 gil
Dark Matter G2: 30 gil -> 12 gil
Dark Matter G3: 70 gil -> 24 gil
Dark Matter G4: 150 gil -> 48 gil
Dark Matter G5: 350 gil -> 80 gil
A temporary countermeasure has been implemented for the following issue:- For the issue wherein the “Manor Sentries” found within the Haukke Manor dungeon could become stuck and prevent players from progressing through the instanced dungeon, we have changed the original location of “Manor Sentries” to the second floor.
The following issues have been addressed:- The server would crash under certain conditions during instanced dungeons.
- Characters would sometimes get stuck in the “Binding Coil of Bahamut” dungeon after the party was wiped out.
- Bomb Boulders would sometimes fail to appear in “The Navel (Hard)” battle.
- Certain monsters would sometimes get stuck in the “Amdapor Keep” dungeon.
- The option to return to Home Point would not display when completing a primal battle while being KO’d.
- The entry point for the “The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak” dungeon was shown in the field in the “Stinging Back” guildhest.
- The “Steel Reign” FATE would sometimes fail to appear.
- Completing the “Behold Now Behemoth” FATE would sometimes cause the server to crash.
- If the player was disconnected during the “Lady of the Vortex” instanced battle, the Duty List, Journal, and Journal Map may display incorrectly.
- The “Notorious Biggs” quest could sometimes be progressed without completing the instanced battle.
- There were occasions where it was impossible to target the snowman in the “Speak Softly to Me” quest.
- The cutscene was canceled if the player was attacked during the “Lord of Crags” cutscene.
- If a player logged out while being bound by duty within an instance, and logged back in after conclusion of the instance, the free company chat would not work.
- Mog Letters were not sent properly in some instances.
- Certain conditions would sometimes cause the server to crash while interacting with the free company
“Company Chest”.
- The “Reach” gauge was sometimes not selectable when in a new, unknown gathering point.
- In some instances, the specified items to collect were incorrect in the “A Relic Reborn” quest.
- In some instances, the specified enemies to defeat were incorrect in the “A Relic Reborn” quest.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Hotfixes (Sep. 27)
The following issue has been addressed.- An issue wherein Dhorme Chimera and Hydra would stop moving during the quest "A Relic Reborn."
Countermeasures have been implemented for the following issues.- An issue wherein players were unable to progress with an instanced battle.
- An issue wherein an NPC would stop responding during a quest.

Items - The following changes have been made to the materia melding interface:
- The order of categories in the pulldown menu has been adjusted.
- A confirmation window will be displayed when converting currently equipped gear into materia.
- Unused gear will be bound to a character after engaging in battle, crafting, or gathering even once, regardless of item level.
- Walnut bread is no longer sold by the Shopkeep NPC located in Eastern Thanalan - Drybone (X:13, Y:24).
System - Experience gained by botanists and miners from level 16 onwards has been increased.
- The locations of level 30 gathering points in the Central Shroud have been adjusted.
- Enhancing effects and enfeebling effects applied to another player or enemy by your character will now always appear to the left of all other status effects underneath the target bar.
- Players will only be allowed to create a maximum of eight characters per service account every twenty-four hours.
* We have confirmed that RMT groups have been abusing low-level quests to acquire gil by repeatedly recreating characters. We realize this change also affects our customers, and we ask for your understanding as we continue to implement measures to prevent RMT activities.
The following issues have been addressed:
- An issue wherein players were able to abandon the quest to unlock levequests.
- An issue wherein a player walking within range of a FATE while progressing certain levequests would cause information such as the timer and progress counter to not update properly (PlayStation 3 version only).
- An issue wherein players were unable to join an instance via the Duty Finder under certain circumstances.
- An issue wherein players occasionally got stuck in the terrain while using the Chocobo Porter.
- An issue wherein players were detected by monsters while using the Chocobo Porter.
- An issue wherein aggro lines would occasionally not display properly during the instance "The Howling Eye (Hard)."
- An issue wherein players were able to fight monsters in the instanced dungeon "Amdapor Keep" without taking any damage.
- An issue wherein the Duty Finder would replenish party members for the instanced dungeon "Amdapor Keep" after defeating the last boss.
- An issue wherein monsters in the instanced dungeon "Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 5" became immobilized under certain circumstances.
- An issue wherein pets were unable to enter a specific room in the instanced dungeon "Haukke Manor."
- An issue wherein chests in the instanced dungeon "The Sunken Temple of Qarn" did not include thaumaturge and arcanist weapons within the list of possible rewards.
- An issue wherein players were not weakened after getting raised.
- An issue wherein players were unable to use their pet’s actions while casting a spell.
- An issue wherein the target rings and area-of-effect predictors did not display under certain circumstances.
- An issue wherein Eos/Selene did not use Embrace to heal players under certain circumstances.
- An issue wherein if a player crafted immediately after receiving benefits from food, the effect of crafting actions were increased by one turn.
- An issue wherein players occasionally lost the ability to control their character when trying to meld a materia that was restored from a cracked materia.
- An issue wherein a player’s game client would crash, or they would lose control of their character, if they initiated a trade with another player and the opposing player canceled the trade.
- An issue wherein a player changing areas after their companion is KO’d would not be able to summon their companion.
- An issue wherein players were able to target their minion even if it was filtered through the character configuration settings.
- An issue wherein a player would occasionally target a pet before an enemy when attempting to target the nearest NPC/object.
- An issue wherein if a player attempted to perform a ground-target action, a point on the ground was selected before the player actually chose it.
- An issue wherein the game client would occasionally crash if a player inserted text via the “Enter” key under certain circumstances.
- An issue wherein a player’s game client would occasionally crash if they moved the Duty List while in the HUD layout mode and then logged out of the game.
- An issue wherein if a player had their screen resolution set to 480p, their chat window would shift to the right every time they logged into the game (PlayStation 3 version only).
- An issue wherein the directional pad of a gamepad would be non-responsive when using a certain gamepad (Windows version only).
- An issue wherein a character’s face would occasionally not display properly if the character was created using saved appearance data.
- An issue wherein a player would occasionally lose control of the game during the character creation process.
- An issue wherein a player would occasionally lose control of the game if they continuously attempted to login to a World that is full.
- An issue wherein the MP value displayed on the “/macroicon” icon does not change when a player gained a level.
- An issue wherein the text command “/macroicon ‘Jump’” did not display the correct icon.
- An issue wherein the icon displayed via “/macroicon” did not turn red when the target was not within range.
- An issue wherein a player would occasionally lose control of the game when they executed the text command “/hotbar” or “/crosshotbar” via their chat window.
- An issue wherein the job levels (summoner and scholar only) displayed in the Edit Search Info interface was incorrect.
- Grammatical errors within the text found in the Duty List, Journal, and NPC dialogue.
Countermeasures have been implemented for the following issues:- An issue wherein a player would occasionally not be able to progress within an instanced battle.
- An issue wherein an NPC would occasionally become non-responsive while progressing a quest.
- An issue wherein the background music and the sound effects would not play properly under certain circumstances.
- An issue wherein the opening would not play under certain circumstances and prevented the game from starting properly.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Hotfixes (Oct. 15)
The following issue has been addressed.
- An issue wherein certain instances occurring in the Japanese data center Worlds would not operate correctly, such as doors in the instance dungeon "The Wanderer's Palace" not opening.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Hotfixes (Oct. 17)
The following feature has been implemented.
- A maximum limit has been placed on the number of players who can be in one area.
* If you attempt to move into an area which has already reached its maximum limit, you will receive a message saying you cannot enter that area. Should this happen, please wait awhile and try again.
The following issues have been addressed.
- When leaving the Duty Finder under certain circumstances, the player sometimes became undetectable to monsters.
- In the instanced dungeon "Amdapor Keep," monsters would become immobile under certain circumstances.
- After the 2.05 patch, players would occasionally receive the “90000 Error” or “Square Enix Account Authentication Error” and be disconnected from the server.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: Hotfixes (Oct. 24, 2013)
The following issues were addressed.
- When using the Unending Journey, certain cutscenes would not replay.
- The client would not close properly when exiting the game.
- In “The Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 5,” enemies would become immobile under certain circumstances.
- Certain graphics in the seasonal event “All Saints’ Wake” would not display properly if Glare was turned on under Graphics Settings in the System Configuration menu.
