Have a Seat - a Nice Feature for New Players to Know About

A wonderful feature I discovered when exploring FFXIV, if you type /sit near a chair or bench or any reasonable surface, your main character will politely sit down. In the chair. Or on the edge of the bed in the Tavern bedrooms, or along fountains, and on the ground, with legs stretched out.... This allows you to meet and chat with your friends in the various taverns, or locations around the game world in very nice style and courtesy. A wonderful feature that I have thought about and asked for in many past MMOs and games and here it is. Enjoy.

I dont think the tavern waitresses will reserve your seat, and you may have to provide your own food or beverage...but it is a very nice touch.

What tickles me is when you do sit down a NPC appears in the place your sitting :p "Oh I do apologise!"

I am looking forward to watching the Sunset from the terrace at the Bismark..such a lovely view and I didn't know about this when i was there last. Will be a great place for sunset viewing and parties and then there is hanami to look forward to in Gridania :)
