Warrior Attributes
How do you distribute your attributes on your Warrior?
I put 20 vit and rest in str now, but since we have such a high hp pool already would it be better perhaps to go all str or even divide them between str and dex?
Let me know what you think is the better option, thx. :)

In the earlier betas, pure Vitality was the way to go because of so many skills/abilities that directly scaled from max health pool.
Since phase 4 some of them (like the cross-class Second Wind) have been scaled back to be either flat amounts or scaling off damage. I don't think there's a set answer to the warrior stats question, and you'll likely get different recommendations from everyone, but personally I've been going a 50/50 mix of Strength/Vitality. Strength IS useful to a Warrior, your damage isnt insignificant and some of your healing (bloodbath/second wind) now scales from it. I think a mix, or a heavier strength weighting, is the better option than pure Vit now.
Don't put any points in Dex though. You can't block, so you only get half the benefit compared to Gladiator, and currently all napkin math and tests have said the mitigation gain on parry for 1 point of Dex is barely noticable.

You should go full STR. You'll get damage, enmity, and more health returned from your drain abilities than you could get back from Thrill of Battle (112 HP per use, 120s cooldown) and passive regen bonuses (11HP/3s gained from 30 VIT). Had a whole lot of math demonstrating this on the beta forums, but that's gone now. Just realize that with 900 damage-based potency healed by Inner Beast stacked with Maim and Storm's Eye, you'll get 86.4 additional damage healed per shot before crits on an ability you use 3 times per minute, and when you can roll it up with Inner Release and Berserk, you're pushing an additional ~150 HP healed per shot from that 30 extra STR. Two of those per 90s catch you up to VIT's bonus, and the other 3 uses roll you right over the top, plus extra drain from Bloodbath. So yeah, in terms of recovery, STR wins; in terms of mitigation, STR wins (but parrying is negligible); and in terms of damage and enmity, STR wins. The only reason to consider VIT at all is spike risk reduction, and that's not particularly meaningful because you'd be dead 3 seconds later in any case (and really should get a PLD for that job). STR is obviously the efficient choice for WAR.
PLD should almost never put points into DEX either. No tank should. Considering blocking and parrying points only provides some acceptable return when your threshold is very nearby. Since I'm not sure anyone knows if parry/block chance has tiered thresholds at all, it's pretty hard for DEX to ever be worth dumping points into.

Please stop the nonsense!
Both tanks should just stack STR while leveling.
Paladins should keep the STR.
Warriors should respec and go full VIT.

WHat would help me a lot on deciding where to put my points is some damn info. Seriously i couldnt find anything about %'s gained for parry or blocks how much do i gain from each point?? is there diminishing returns and such. If any1 knows where to find this please let me know. Thanks!!!!

I went full VIT on WAR, full STR on PLD.

To be perfectly honest if you really want to play the meta game going full str or full vit is just going to have wasted points on one end or another as you also have to consider gear and materia stat cap as opposed to the str plateaus for damage reduction in regards to parry and block as well as the contribution you will have from determination and crit rate. Vit is the easy way to go for sure as it no longer effects defense and is straight health. Go Vit and make str adjustments with gear is going to be signifcantly easier then keeping the running total and balancing as well as to make decisions on using dps accessories to contribute to overall.
@Maverick9123 I understand the sentiment but it is a hard thing to test and construct an accurate equation around as the monster has stats as well. But here is a link that at least made some ground but it is not the end all as parry does this dex does this. Hope it helps http://valk.dancing-mad.com/?page_id=227

Thanks Sakasa appreciate the link. It just seems stupid how little information we get from the game. Every MMO has mechanics that are never clear but they do give you some badic info. FFARR doesnt give you squat. It is really frustrating if i spend my points i would feel like im doing that by feel more than anything else. I dont even know if u can reset points afterwards as well.

Well it depends how you compare it because while some games give you all the stats your effectiveness comes down to the opposition or even worst where your stats are just checks that allow you to do something to said opposition meaning the gear treadmill isn't you getting better its you trying to not get worse. But do remember to give thanks on the site while its for their benefit as well those willing to pull data and accruately formulate equations as well as post their findings are a rarity.

I dont know, I've played a lot of MMOs and Ive never struggled to obtain enough info to play my character efficiently until now. But oh well i guess it is up to the community to help every1 out here.
Edit: Do we know if we can reset points ? That would take the pressure off and i could start using them right now :P.
