Low level botanists asked to farm in level 30-50 areas?

For the gathering log for level 1-5 botanists, several of the items are listed as being found in areas that, according to the log, are 30-50. I haven't gone to double check or to see if there is a safe route for gathering, but some of the names i recognize are definitely higher level areas. Also, the areas are all over the world, unlike hunting logs which have you hunting in one world area, at least at lower tiers. It makes it quite hard to finish the gathering log and get the associated experience.

It is really plain and simple: e.g. Shards come from various professions and as some require a level 1 job (fire, water, lightning shards for mining as an example) while ice & earth come from botanists (if I remember correct).
So don't believe everything from your book, it may be a low level item from another gathering profession. But since it only will take you a level 1 gatherer, it is more then acceptable.

I don't think you get any special experience for completing gathering log ranks, so don't worry about this one...
This mainly applies to shards, and if you level miner as well, you'll see that when you start on miner, any shards you got on botanist are already ticked off in the miner gathering log.

Not online to double check now, but you actually do get a fairly hefty exp bonus from completing an item for the first time, and another for completing your crafting log. Maybe the same doesn't apply to gathering...but on my alchemist, I was getting 700 or so exp for completing an item the first time plus 1500 exp for completing the log item...2nd time crafting the item was only 400 exp and no log bonus (tier 2 I believe). Then when you complete the log level, there is another major exp boost.

Seems off to put something in a log that you have no way of completing on level without doing it with another craft. If it is only a mistake with level 1 gathering, then not such a big deal but if it continues through all levels it is very poorly thought out. Thanks for the help though.
