Am I missing something? [patch 1.17]

The grand companies feature was implemented in this patch right? Did they not include that in the patch notes..? Or has it not been stated where the Grand companies are located?

No it was not, nor did they said they would put it in this patch.
They just started posting the pages for it. We'll have to wait a bit longer for companies, they did said they were waiting for some others changes to come before. :D
It should be soon though, maybe next month?

The LL Grand Company side-quest is @ the Coral Tower. I just finished it, got some weird potion out of it (Dusken Draught) and no follow-up quest. Sad panda. :(

To be fair, the public companies are in the notes in the form as:

[dev1002][dev1003] New sidequests have been added.

If you look for these tags:

[dev1002] Storylines and world quests
[dev1003] Public company quests

So there should be sidequests for them. BUT there's another tag that specificaly says:
[dev1034] Introduction of public companies

So i dont know what to think anymore XD

It states right on lodestone that it did
"To learn all about this exciting new facet to the FINAL FANTASY XIV world and better prepare for the Grand Company-related content being released in patch 1.17, click here."

And people around the forums have stated they have started some of the grand company quests. I just assumed they would have released more info on it. Since it was such a big deal in the first place lol

'Grand Company-related' is the key to that statement.
