AMD Crossfire
So I downloaded the 13.8v2 beta drivers and they tremendously increased my benchmark by like 2300. In the game though, the title screen says 60 fps and when I'm in the game sometimes I go up to 40. Still randomly I just start lagging horribly, dropping down to like 15 where there is no reason for me to lag. Like if I'm alone around nobody or in cutscenes. One second I'm fine cruising around 40 fps...next I'm at 15 for no reason. Just standing there even...Please just optimize ffxiv for crossfire :(

Have you turned crossfire off, and I'm pretty sure AMD has to do the optimization.

Yeah I did but my fps is low without crossfire like from 15-25. With crossfire on I can go up to 50-60 fps and then just randomly drop down to 15 for no reason at all.

ati mobility radeon hd 5870 x2. My game runs very smooth at 60 fps with crossfire. It just randomly drops around 15 even when I'm by myself and no one around me. I can even have 50 fps in large fates. Not sure if it's ffxiv or amd. This is the first time I've had issues with using crossfire in any mmo.

Not sure, if you use only one 5870 and you lower the game settings to all low do you still get super low FPS. What if you try switching which one you are using? I don't know if there's much I can help you with as I am not that knowledgeable of crossfire. But if you get that low FPS with just one 5870 it may indicate a gpu that's going bad. If it's both then it's probably a different issue.

It's on maximum when I use one gpu that my fps goes around 20. When I lower the graphic settings obviously I get higher like 30+. My issue is that I can play on maximum with 60 fps fine with crossfire yet it randomly drops down to 15 for no reason. I shouldn't be around 15 fps when I'm by myself and nothing is going around me. For example I'm in a dungeon...with 5 mobs around me..I'm at like 60 fps for 5-10 minutes...randomly...nothing has changed at all....my fps drops with crossfire on. It's not a matter of whether or not I can play on low settings. I know I can do that with one card or both. My problem is I can play maximum settings with crossfire fine but something is wrong somewhere because I shouldn't have random low spikes.
