Question about the PS3 version

So, I got my disc today. What im curious about is what I do now. I have the activation code that came with it, but i also have the Phase 4/Early Access app from before. When i input the code, it seems like it's downloading exactly what i've got, and when i open the file om the disc, it takes me to the same client top-page that the p4/ea app takes me to.1: Do I NEED to download this new client? (i am not legacy) and 2: Will i even need the game disc in my ps3? ( i prefer keeping it out to avoid heat warping) thank you for your possible help n_n

For me after I activated the activation code, it then got me to the same client for EA. You can skip that. Start the disc and input the same ID and password when you used P4 and EA. That only real thing to do is to go Mogstation so that you can get the extra stuff via Mog Mail in-game. Once the game loads up, you do not need the disk anymore.

I already got my mog mail preorder items, are there more than the cat sith and mog cap items? If so, what code do i put in?

You get the Baby Behemoth companion, Warrior of Light helm, Courel mount and Behemoth armor for your chocobo via Mog Mail. The activation code should’ve triggered it. It should say so on the screen when you use the disc. They show the name of your character, along with the existing services that you used.

I thought those were only for the Collector's Edition?

You are correct. Those who brought the normal version will not be able to see it. All you have to do is to make sure that you do not make a new account when it asks for it, otherwise the 30 free days will be going to the new account that you make while the one that you want will only have the days left for the Early Access.
