Is there a way to change gender specific items, like the swimsuits, from a male to female, and vise-versa?
I tried asking this question in game, but no one seemed to have an answer. I remember it being brought up, and it seems obvious that they would implement something like this given that they let us change genders and whatnot, but I have no idea. Anyone know?

If the game gave you items of the wrong gender then you should submit a ticket because as it stands atm there is no way to change the gender of clothing available in game at this point in time.
However if it is from a legacy character and you changed your gender with the free remake option we got back in beta p4 then everything should have changed over to your new gender, if this did not happen then see above.
I changed my gender on an old character and now have the wrong clothes. I was going to just wait till the bigger issues got cleared up before submitting a ticket but I probably should just do it now.
I think no clothes got changed.
My male cat has also female swimsuits and Yukatas in his cabinet.

@Heather89 - I actually did submit a ticket and reported it as a bug, however they replied back by e-mail and told me to write this issue in the bug section of the forums which I have already done and I guess is all I can do.
I know for a fact in one of the live producer letters that this question was asked and Yoshi said, "We would like to look further in how to address this issue" so I have no idea if he even plans to repair this, which I hope is not the case cause it doesn't seem like a hard problem to fix. I just feel it you can't use items from 1.0 then I might as well have just made a new character :\

Can't you change them at the calmity salvager?
I might be wrong about that as I've never changed the gender of my character, but I vaguely remember hearing about it.
